May I ask what the max recommended distance from bench to ceiling is for this to work well?
The Schweigen ceiling cassette rangehood with a single R1600 SP motor will suit a 2.4 metre ceiling height.
This allows a 1500mm distance between the cooktop and the rangehood.
I have seen other brand ceiling cassettes with less airflow however I would not recommend anything with less airlow .
Although at first you may think you are saving a few dollars you will be disappointed with the performance.
Many houses have 2.7 or 3 metre ceiling heights and I strongly recommend you consider the twin R1600 motors or the 3200 motor systems in these situations. I was involved with many testing of ceiling cassetes and you will need this extra power for them to do the job properly.
We have successfully installed the twin motor Schweigen ceiling cassettes at cooking schools at a height of 3.6 metres.
